The Start of Something New.....ish

Well, my summer has come to a close and I am about to start my Junior/Senior year at BYU.  I definitely am not all that excited for reality to set in.  I am going to miss having to only stress over getting hot food out in time for the guests at work or cleaning cabins in a semi-fast manor.  I will also miss living in the mountains and constantly seeing the beauty of God's creations all around me.  To sum up my current feelings, this summer was AMAZING and I will never forget it.  I enjoyed the opportunity that I had to work closely with 80 fellow BYU students, greet thousands of people, touch the plates, utensils, and cups of thousands, hold babies, clean cabins, sit at the pool, scoop ice cream, vacuum under tables, wipe tables, stock buffets, eat free food, sit on the swing, make wood chips, and the list could go on and on.  It definitely was a summer to remember!
I am now living in a private room at University Avenue Condos.  It is right across from the Provo library.  My roommates are strangers to me, but hopefully I will get to know them soon and we will become friends.  This semester I will be enrolled in Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Career Strategies, Technology in Health Promotion and Planning and Implementing Health Strategies classes.  I will also be doing two credit hours for my Gerontology internship as well as working part time up at Aspen Grove. Needless to say, it will be a very busy semester!
There definitely are things that I am looking forward to this semester.  The first one being a social ward.  Wyview was great and all, but let's get real, the people there were not the most social beings.  I can already tell that I have great roommates and a good ward.  Tonight after ward prayer, a group of 8 of us stayed after and chatted.  At midnight, we decided to go and hike the Y, so we did.  We got back at around 2:45am and now I am trying to hopefully fall asleep soon.  I also am looking forward to random adventures.  Some of my goals for this school year are to go to the St. George, Vernal and Manti Temples.  I also want to look at cars until I see a license plate from every state in the United States.  This has been on my bucket list since freshman year and I am determined to take the time to accomplish this goal.
